Kismayo Medical Center is a not-for-profit community hospital based in Kismayo, Somalia. The mission of the medical center is to be the premier healthcare facility in the region providing accessible and afordable high quality care with compassion.

Our clinic cater to both both routine and emergency cases. We deliver a range of acute, chronic and preventive medical care services.

Our preventive care include routine check-ups, health risk assessments, immunizations, and diagnostic surgical medical services.

Treatments

Consultation

Upon visiting the hospital, a patient will be required to pick a ticket that helps to provide services on a first-come, first-served basis. Our staff will guide patients through patient services and provide advice according to needs. The triage is the first clinical contact point where vitals are taken before consulting the doctor. Following a consultation, the doctor will refer patients to the relevant diagnostic department (laboratory, radiology or to the pharmacy).

Radiological and Imaging Services

Our Radiology Department provides a comprehensive range of imaging services, including both routine and specialized procedures. We offers ultrasound exams on a variety of areas, including the abdomen, pelvis, thyroid, renal glands, and scrotum. We also offer Chest, abdominal, pelvic and skeletal X-rays and echocardiograms.

Laboratory Testing

Laboratory tests provide important medical information vital to the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease. Our laboratory is known for superior quality, customer service and rapid turnaround of diagnostic results. We use the most advanced analytical and testing equipment and Testing is performed 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Pharmacy Services

Our Pharmacy is designed to meet the needs of all patients who require pharmaceutical care. Our medications all meet the strict requirements and are of high quality. We only stock European made products. Our staff provide guidance about how to properly and safely take medications and are know for their expertise and the extraordinary care when dispensing medications.

Emergency Care

We pride ourselves with the quality of care and efficient services we provide to our clients in the time of their greatest need, we make sure that all patients are seen by a professional, caring health care provider within 30 minutes of their arrival. From minor injuries and illnesses, to stroke and cardiac events, we are here to quickly respond to all health emergencies.

Maternity Services

From prenatal care to specialized delivery services and advanced gynecologic surgeries, Our maternity department offers comprehensive, affordable quality care in a compassionate environment. Our midwives and nurses are specially trained to care for the most complicated cases in addition to our obstetricians and Gynecologists who are available 24/7 to provide appropriate and timely interventions.
